First up: watermelon

Is it a fruit or a vegetable?
It’s both. Watermelon is in the same family as squash and pumpkin. But like a tomato, watermelon comes from a vine plant.

Watermelon is a good source of vitamins and minerals. Including:
Vitamin A – for eye health
Vitamin B6- helps maintain normal nerve function. Important for red blood cell production. Also, it helps to break down protein
Potassium – Helps maintain water balance and prevents muscle cramps. Making Watermelon the perfect fruit for Summer.
Lycopene – What makes watermelon pink. It may help lower LDL cholesterol and triglycerides, which could lead to a lower risk of cardiovascular disease.

Per serving: 80 calories/21g carbs/1g protein/1g fiber/20g sugar

How to pick a good watermelon?
It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3.
Look the watermelon over.
You are looking for a firm, symmetrical watermelon that is free from bruises, cuts or dents.
Lift it up.
The watermelon should be heavy for its size. Watermelon is 92% water, most of the weight is water.
Turn it over.
The underside of the watermelon should have a creamy yellow spot from where it sat on the ground and ripened in the sun.
