Have you ever had an experience that impacted you at the deepest level? The kind of experience that allows you to see the world in a whole new light?

This past weekend I was fortunate to attend the Bliss Project with Lori Harder. The weekend was truly transformational for me. Listening to these beautiful, strong women tell their stories inspired me to want to live my life to the fullest.

I’ve been a trainer for the past eight years. I became a trainer because I wanted to inspire others to live happier, healthier lives. Yet somewhere along the way I lost my vision, my passion, I had lost me. That’s not to say I didn’t love what I was doing. Training absolutely makes me happy and I am grateful for each and every one of my clients. However I knew I wasn’t living up to my potential. I was so afraid of being judged or rejected that I wasn’t really putting myself out there. I didn’t want to take a stand on anything that might be controversial lest someone have a differing opinion.

One of the most important things I realized this weekend is that by not opening myself up, by not taking chances I’m not only hurting myself but I’m closing myself off to so many people I could be helping.

This past weekend has reignited that flame inside me bigger and brighter than ever before. I can’t stop smiling. This is the most focused and determined I have been in a long time. I have a clear vision of what I want in my life and am beyond excited to get started on this new adventure. Every day I remind myself of how incredibly grateful and lucky I truly am.

So from now on I promise to be brave, to be bold and to always be honest with you about who I am and where I’ve come from. I won’t back down from my beliefs but I will always reserve the right to grow as I learn and evolve. Nothing is black and white, we are ever changing and evolving with the ebb and flow of life. And that is a beautiful thing.

I encourage each and every one of you to find your bliss. Be grateful for where you are and what you have but never lose sight of what you want. You deserve to live your best life. You owe it not just to yourself but to everyone around you. Because when you live as your true authentic self you inspire those around you to do the same. So be bold, be brave, be YOU.
